What is Prolights HaluPix DUO?
Prolights HaluPix DUO is a modular 500W IP65 LED pixel and beam matrix featuring a dual-layer light source design. Each HaluPix DUO module combines two completely different technologies and consists of 441 individually controlled RGB + Warm White pixels and 49 powerful narrow Warm White beam sources. The module is based on two independent LED matrices that can work together and separately.
This dual layer architecture allows it to create beam effects, creative pixel animations, dynamic strobe effects and wide RGBW lighting at the same time. Each Prolights HaluPix DUO module is a 500 mm x 500 mm modular element inspired by the LED tile structure. It, like LED screens, can be assembled into different configurations with a larger number of modules, such as for example for flat pixel and beam walls, curved matrices, concert scenographies, ceiling and floor configurations and more. The modular system allows an angle between the devices from -10° to +15°, which allows the creation of concave, convex and wavy light structures.
Dual light matrix for unique effects
The module combines powerful, long-range beams with high-output video (pixel) and strobe effects. The beam layer consists of 49 powerful Warm White LED sources arranged in a 7×7 matrix. With a beam angle ranging from 3.6° to 6.8°, the HaluPix DUO creates exceptionally narrow and defined beam effects, ideal for generating light structures and powerful visual effects in concert, festival, and TV productions.
Pixel layer uses 441 2W individually controlled RGB + Warm White LED pixels arranged in a dense 21 x 21 matrix with a beam angle of 116° and a field angle of 155°. Wide optics enable the creation of intense color wash effects, pixel mapping content, dynamic animations, graphic patterns and creative video effects.

Creative pixel mapping and advanced control
In terms of control protocols, the fixture is ready for modern professional lighting and network systems. Alongside standard DMX512 and RDM, the HaluPix DUO supports Art-Net, sACN, RDMnet and pixel-to-pixel control, enabling advanced management of a large number of pixels and seamless integration into professional lighting systems.
Depending on the selected personality or operating mode of the module, HaluPix DUO can use from 12 to 1855 DMX channels. However, thanks to the MCA (Modular Customisable Architecture) system, the control mode can be adapted to different production requirements, from simple effects to full individual pixel control. Wireless CRMX control is also available as an option.
Superior white light quality and IP65 protection
The RGB + Warm White pixel layer source provides exceptionally high-quality white light reproduction with a CRI of 94 and R9 up to 95.8. High-quality reproduction and PWM adjustable frequencies ranging from 600 to 25,000 Hz allow the device to be adapted to various professional cameras and shooting conditions. That's why these lighting modules are an excellent choice for television and broadcast productions.
Prolights HaluPix DUO modules weigh 16.3 kg and are designed for professional touring and outdoor use. The housing is rated IP65, making it suitable for outdoor use, and features a fan-free design that ensures completely silent cooling, which is perfect for television studios, theaters and broadcast productions.
